Gleichzeit: Briefe zwischen Israel & Europa

Reading this correspondence felt urgent and raw, like eavesdropping on a real conversation between two people trying to make sense of violence and distance. The alternating letters and chat transcripts capture the fractured immediacy of life after October 7th in a way that no single narrative could.

The mix of letters and chat messages really captures the raw, unfiltered emotion of trying to make sense of shattered worlds. I found myself pausing between each correspondence to just sit with what I'd read.

Reading the back-and-forth letters between Salzmann and Waldman made me feel the raw, immediate shock of October 7th in a way news reports never could. I especially appreciated how they wove in poetry and chat messages alongside the formal letters, which kept the exchange feeling so real and urgent.
